It takes a blizzard...

I've wondered over the last few months what it would take to get me back to blogging.  Or at the very least to write at least one post.   There are no guaranties that it won't be another 6 months before I post again.

Well wonder no more...

This is what brought me back...

 
Yes...yes that is a giant snow drift covering my deck.  Yes...yes it is in fact at least 4 feet high.  Oh, but wait, there's more...

Yes...yes that is a giant hanging snow monster on my roof.  If you look closely you can see in the top left corner the eave...nice.

Oh, but wait, there's more...

 

This is the view out my front door.  It would be much worse, but my wonderfully fabulous neighbors plowed (and shoveled) last night.  I'm waiting patiently for them to come and plow again.

But at least someone is happy about the snow...

As a matter of fact...The Big One was disappointed when Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring this year.  I honestly don't know who his parents are...

But alas,  I guess that's what we get for living in Chicago!
